This partnership allows google to invest millions in Low-Income Housing. Google has just added another $47 million to this fund. The fund is used to build quality apartment communities across America. So while some might think Google is a monster out of control, they have proven themselves to being a dedicated company who wants to improve the quality of life of all Americans.

    Forester Group Decision Weakens Market

    The Forester Group has decided not to continue with a million dollar debt offering. While this may have been a smart decision for them some say their decisions weakens the market. Other investors say it is the result of the market. Either way, expect their decision to have repercussions.

    Aromatherapy Trending in Real Estate

    Some agents are moving towards unconventional tactics to try to attract buyers and renters. Real Estate Agents that use this technique say that essential oils have an effect on the brain that makes them more likely to think about your property before the rest.

    Zillow to Undergo Changes

    Last month reports indicated that a majority of buyers and renters use the Internet as their first
    source for finding properties. Zillow, the real estate information giant, has released their own statement in accordance with the earlier report. Over the next few months and expect to see Zillow add new content, remove obsolete content and improve their database. Their changes are meant to allow better communication between buyers and sellers.

    The Harrison Project

    Fort Wayne, IN is home to a real estate project which will bring new apartments, commercial space and office space. This ambitious project has been dubbed “The Harrison Project.” It is an attempt to revitalize an area that was once bustling. This project has been delayed many times and the blame is placed on the economy. Barry Real Estate has gotten on board and with their help the project should be complete by the beginning of 2012.

    Another Successful Market

    Baldwin County, Alabama has turned around. This beach front location is experiencing sales that are up 20%. The prices are still low, but there is still a good deal of profit to be made.

    Real Estate Investors Drive to Create Tech Town

    A coalition between Real Estate investors and Community Action Groups has come together to create a new Tech Town and not where you think. California has long been home to the tech savvy but now the other side of the country will be too. Dayton, Ohio is said to be one of the hardest hit cities. At the same time many commercial transactions and low-key home transactions are changing the face of the town. Many people are clueless as to the plans this coalition has for the town. Both commercial and non commercial real estate agents are picking up properties for pennies on the dollar. At the same time an infrastructure is being built so that this unknown city will have a sturdy foundation to become a technology haven for those flocking away from California but still want to live in a tech savvy town. This will be one to watch over the next 3-5 years.

    Good News; Bad News

    Depending on who you are this may sound like good news or bad news. Some experts forecast another 25% fall in home prices between now and the year 2015. For those of you desperate to sell this is bad news. If you are a long term investor this is good news. That means there is still plenty of time to generate income to buy homes at rock bottom prices.

    For some investors the real estate market is referred to as a gold rush while to other investors options look bleak. No matter if you are the cash based investor or a struggling agent once you have a property you must hold and maintain the monthly costs.
